UNION RIVER LOG JAM
An old log from the river driving era sits jammed in the banks of the Union River, Ellsworth, Maine. The Union was used to deliver logs from further upstream during the lumbering heydays of the late 1800's-early 1900's and is consequently littered with logs that never made the trip downstream before sinking.
