View Larger on Chockstone Photography Kiama is a popular seaside town about 90 minutes south of Sydney. They have several nearby beaches with surfing competitions each year, the "blow-hole" which spouts water 20 metres into the air, some interesting coastal rock formations, and of course, fishing, shopping, golf courses, art galleries and so on. Basically it's a nice place to visit. I found myself there on a photography trip and, driving the back roads in search of view point, came across this enchanting scene. Knowing it would look a treat in the early morning light, I slept the in car so as to be ready and in position for dawn. Sure enough the golden rays burst into my lens, creating a lovely yellow back-light on this aged fig tree, with the road down the mountain to Kiama leading away.
