The Remote Sensing Systems Directorate's (RSSD) mission is to develop, deploy, and sustain surveillance capabilities in support of missile warning, missile defense, battle space awareness, technical intelligence, and environmental monitoring mission areas. The RSSD Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) family of systems are critical for protection against global and theater ballistic missile attacks against the United States, allies, and combat forces.
We are known for our logos and we even sold a set of products to a Commander of a Space Shuttle Mission AND a Blue Angels sweatshirt to Blue Angel 7!!
