Junction Falls is one of several waterfalls that can be found along a well maintained 3 to 4km bush track (depending on detours) in Lawson that can be done as a picturesque circuit. To be fair, it is best viewed after some decent rain to provide water volume, though even in summer it is still a fun place to explore. Be aware that it can be mucky and slippery in places.
Junction Falls, as the name suggests actually has two separate falls. This image is of the smaller of the two. Appearing on your right as your approach from below, it cascades over a little cave and is surrounded by wonderful greenery that is particularly vibrant when it is wet and backlit as was the case during our visit.
The other falls on this loop are Adelina Falls, Federal Falls and Cataract Falls. If you want to add some distance, including Terrace Falls will push the walk to about 9km.
