View Larger on Chockstone Photography A couple of hours walk from Mt Selwyn Resort across sub-alpine grasslands with views of Tabletop Mountain and Mt Jagungal, will eventually land you at the quaint little Four Mile Hut in Kosciuszko National Park. Built in 1937, by the last active gold miner in this area, the timber and tin strip hut is often used as a campsite for hikers undertaking longer adventures. Capturing it in the setting sunlight with the scene glistening wet from a retreating storm produced some of the most vivid colours I've ever seen. It was a magic moment, and one I was glad to share with some fellow trekkers, even though I had to plead with them not to set up their tents anywhere in the 180 degree arc I was shooting. Tired from the walk and wet from the rain they still indulged my odd request. Thanks guys.
