STRENGTH OF KHMER WOMEN by Pita

This is an image of two fairies standing next to each other. It shows a unique Khmer architecture which derives from a creative blend of human, animal and deity form. A dragon-scale pattern decorated on the side of the two fairies represents water, which brought fertility to agriculture during the Angkorean period. The lotus above the fairies, which is not yet in bloom, represents virginity of the three worlds and the strength of Khmer women during the Angkorean period.
