Hold the toad in one hand and squeeze near the base of a gland until the venom squirts out of the pores with the other. Use a clean glass plate to collect the liquid. Systematically collect venom from each pore in the same manner. Once the venom starts to dry, within a few minutes, it becomes the consistency of rubber cement and can then be smoked in a pipe, with a brass or metallic screen. The dried venom can be cut by using a razor blade. Save whatever substance you are not using in an airtight container to keep it fresh
