Unity Sand
When my husband and I got married in June of 2007 we used sand instead of unity candles, and it was the first time I'd seen it done. Now, a few years later, it seems to be becoming a common occurrence! In short, unity sand represents the same thing that candles do...the sand being poured together represents two different entities becoming one, meshed together. What a beautiful thing!
