Reticulated python
Reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus):
Some will disagree but I find reptiles beautiful. The patterning of their scales, their vivid eyes and if you look closely in the image how their scales in certain light produce a rainbow affect. This is due to the presence of iridophores on top of the scales (also found in colour changing species i.e squid which are under their control), in snakes they form crystal like layers causing light to get refracted between layers causing the rainbow effect.
