Restraint
Did I mention I love charcoal? I made this in my free time in my newest sketchbook, using charcoals my close friend gifted me. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. I think the harsh contrast in the rendering helps signify the tension and force being used. And yes, I know that one of the hands only has three *visible* fingers. I didn't have room on the paper for the index, and the thumb is somewhere peaking through the gaps, but it is largely in shadow.
