Peter Rabbit
Peter Rabbit is a beloved fictional character created by British author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. He made his first appearance in Potter's 1902 children's book titled "The Tale of Peter Rabbit." The story follows the mischievous young rabbit named Peter, who disobeys his mother's orders and ventures into Mr. McGregor's garden to steal vegetables. Despite being warned of the dangers, Peter is enticed by the succulent vegetables, especially the lettuce, radishes, and French beans. While he enjoys his feast, Mr. McGregor discovers him and chases Peter throughout the garden. In the chaos, Peter loses his jacket and shoes but manages to escape, albeit narrowly. The character of Peter Rabbit is depicted as a cheeky and adventurous young rabbit with a penchant for getting into trouble. He often finds himself in sticky situations due to his disobedience and curiosity but ultimately manages to escape unscathed. Potter's charming illustrations and engaging storytelling have endeared Peter Rabbit to generations of readers, making him one of the most beloved characters in children's literature.
