Moon Rabbit II
Having moved to rural Australia recently I have become enamoured with the local wildlife. I will go out each day and photograph whoever happens to be visiting, whether bird, marsupial or insect. I have recently started painting little watercolours from my photographs, combining two of my loves, art and wildlife.
This is a painting of the Moon Rabbit, because of course the local rabbits, although sweet, are not desirable to have around because they eat everything, dig lots of holes and well, breed like rabbits. The Moon rabbit in folklore is a rabbit that lives on the Moon in some asian and aztec mythology.
