I Support the 3rd Amendment
I support the 3rd amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America!
Which says, "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."
This Amendment protects the right to not have troops residing in your home against your will when there is no war to require it. And during times of war, you have the right to representation, since quartering is regulated by your representatives.
To date, the government has never asked anyone to house soldiers against their will, even in times of war.
Even though this right has never been violated, it is still vital, because it protects us from tyranny. Without it, a corrupt government could take over by requiring citizens to house troops, which would monitor the residents and prevent them from starting a revolution.
This is one of the original Amendments from the Founding Fathers in 1791.
