    Giant Bindweed
This creeping plant can be found in hedgerows all over the island. It can be easily recognised by its large white flowers. Its Manx name is "lus y lheaney", which means "plant of spreading"; a reference to its ability to spread quickly over a large area. This flower has the nickname "Granny pop out of bed" because of the way the flower will pop out when its base is squeezed.
