Another reflection on negative self images. I watched a documentary called 'Indie Sex' which chronicled how certain independent films tackled and confronted 'deviant' and challenging sexual material, and one of the speakers stated something that refocused a lot of my subject matter. The idea was that 'film' could provides a vehicle for working through sexual issues, trauma, and desires' , so instead of avoiding scorn, strangeness, and judgment, i decided to start using art as a therapy. Whee, I'm so unique. (blugh).
