Another fantastic show from Alex Hirsch brings us Inside Job, an adult animation on Netflix about a world where conspiracy theories are reality and the shadow government organisation Cognito Inc (a pun on incognito) and the main cast of characters run the business on the whims of the Shadow Board to keep these conspiracies a secret.
These include Reagan Ridley, daughter of Rand Ridley who founded the company along with his business partner JR, who is an antisocial but nonetheless a fantastic robotic tech engineer; Brett Hand, a new hire who is brought in to help Reagan with the more social aspects of being a boss, a classic himbo who allegedly pledged every frat; Gigi who is the Head of Media Manipulation and Subliminal Messages; Dr Andre Lee who is a biochemist with a taste for his creations, Glenn Dolphman who is the first half man half dolphin, and Magic Myc who is a mushroom creature who creates a substance used in memory erasers.
This science fiction workplace comedy involves hijinks such as replacing the president with a robot, defeating clones of celebrities, taking reptoid sensitivity training, creating and dating a robot version of a tinder date, going back to the 80s with Nostalgia Max, dealing with flat earthers at a solo wedding, faking one's own death to hide from a clingy spy, going to the moon and taking selfies at the moon landing set, finding out your robot friend is a mole, and delving into your memories to find the password to that same bear.
