Salamander Races
When I was in grade school the gang of kids I hung around with collected toads and salamanders. My sister and I used to put them in our window wells and take them out to race them on our neighbor's drive way Our mom got upset because every once in a while one amphibian would fall into the basement and die and she would always be the one to find it.
