Samurai
I was inspired to paint the Samurai and the Lotus tree years ago when I read the book Warrior magician and the lover. By Moore and Gillette. This was way before I even knew the first thing about painting. Actually in the same year I read Deepok Chopra’s book Synchrodestiny. When he spoke of surrounding yourself with symbols of the Archetypes that you would like to embody. I looked around for these types of things but could not find anything that was not commercialised. So that gave me the strong desire to be able to sculpt, draw and paint these things for myself and anyone who would benefit from them. The samurai to me is historically the closest I think we have come as humans to embodying the full potential of our inner Warrior. Sacredness, Service to a cause higher than ourselves,Technology spirituality ,and Discipline to name a few.I hope this is just the beginning of my ability to pull from my imagination and inspirations, both inner and outer. To create the ideas swirling around in my head.
