Programming
Programming explores the invisible ways our minds are shaped every day. From the moment we are born, we are constantly being programmed by what we see, hear and experience—through family, education, television, social media, advertising, culture, religion, politics and the people around us. Not all programming is harmful. Some beliefs, values and habits help us grow into compassionate, resilient and capable individuals. Others may quietly limit our thinking, influence our decisions or encourage us to accept ideas without questioning them. The streams flowing from the television into the viewers symbolise the constant flow of information that enters our minds, often unnoticed. The artwork is not intended to condemn any single source of influence, but to encourage reflection. It invites the viewer to pause and ask: Which of my beliefs are truly my own, and which were simply inherited? Ultimately, Programming is an invitation to cultivate awareness, question assumptions, and consciously choose the ideas and experiences that shape who we become.
