    Common Rudd Color Design
The Common Rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus), also known simply as the Rudd, is a freshwater fish native to Europe and western Asia, though it has been introduced to other regions, including North America. It prefers slow-moving or still waters such as lakes, ponds, and slow rivers with abundant vegetation. The Rudd is an omnivore, feeding on aquatic plants, insects, small crustaceans, and zooplankton. It is known for its deep-bodied shape, reddish fins, and golden-hued scales, making it easily distinguishable from similar species like the Roach. Rudd are social fish, often forming large schools, and they have a remarkable ability to adapt to different environmental conditions, which has contributed to their spread beyond their native range.
