Breakwater Inception
I have been eyeing to try to get this image for almost a year now. Something that I had in my head but putting the concept into practice had proven harder than I had anticipated. After numerous attempts with a lot of trial and error, I think I might have cracked it. I went out during the rain as I knew no one would be there. It was raining while driving, then the sky cleared when I got there. I flew for 20min and as soon as I landed and packed up, it started pouring again. TECHNICAL DETAILS: 16 individual images made up this flatland/inception image. The looking down shot was 5 images pano stitched together. Then there are about 8 images for the bend. Each of those I would have only used about 1/10 of the frame. I did try to record the process, but this simple looking pier had proven to be difficult because it is not a flat road where the joint is in one line. The breakwater has a concrete wall which is about 3-4m higher than the road surface. This had to be joint at a different spot. I had to cut myself out and paste it in the front-most layer because the bend happens just directly behind me. Anyway, I've added the thumbnails of the images I used in the comment. Hit me up if you have questions. I'll see if I can attempt to do another tutorial.
