Rooftop Geometry
This one's a little abstract, sort of like a cityscape diorama in isolation from the rest of the street grid. I approached this aerial view almost like a surreal composition, first blocking in the largest building shapes and then gradually adding vents, ducts, terraces, and rooftop equipment. Cool blue-grays balance the warmer brick and cream tones, while the unfinished edges allow the complex to dissolve softly into the paper. More an experiment in getting finer details done with a "0" brush.
