Rock Perch Gull
I’m very fond of gulls when they’re standing around looking a little noble and a little suspicious. I painted this one with very simple shapes and soft gray-blue shadows, letting the beak and feet carry the warmest notes of color. The background was kept whisper-light so the gull feels as though it’s standing in open sea air.
