Pink Roses

The pink roses in my dad’s garden were something I documented because their open flowers had such a soft, generous presence. When I recorded them, the blooms were fully open—layers of silky petals forming wide, cupped shapes, each one showing a gentle gradient from a deeper pink at the centre to a paler edge. I noted how the petals caught the light, giving the flowers a faint, luminous glow, and how the glossy green leaves framed the stems cleanly beneath them. Adding them to my notes helped capture the rose bush at its most open and expressive, offering its colour without holding anything back.
