Perkins Racing.
Perkins racing. Perkins is a name synonymous with Australian motorsport racing and it began in his formative years in the early 1970’s and retired from racing in 2003. Racing is in the Perkins bloodline with Larry’s father Eddie himself a racing driver and the winner of the 1956 RedeX Round Australia Trial. Larry is also the maternal nephew of George Reynolds himself a winner of the Bathurst 500. It was inevitable that Jack, Larry’s son would follow in the footsteps of his grandfather and father and began his own career as a race driver. Participating in the 2023 Dunlop Super2 Series Jack paid the ultimate tribute to his father by driving car #70 the Erebus Motorsport ZB Commodore bearing the retro livery that the VP Commodore in which claimed victory at the mountain in 1993 in which Larry and the late Gregg Hansford drove. It would prove to be the last time that a Holden engine would win at Bathurst. Jack acknowledges the huge support that the team has received from sponsors Shaw and Partners who share a love of history of the sport. Jack Perkins and Will Brown drove a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1in the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 from the Erebus Motorsport stables and finished the race in 8th position. Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.
