Palm Trees
I painted this intersection for its slightly unexpected mixture of palms, overhead wires, parked cars, and a slender church steeple. I used layered olive and blue-green washes for the trees, letting the fronds spread freely before sharpening a few edges with a smaller brush. The surrounding buildings were kept pale and sun-washed.
