Inspired by Ralph Ellison's masterpiece Invisible Man, one of my favorite books. The white paint strokes refer to Liberty Paints' optic white, from the novel. If you don't know what I'm talking about, dash to the nearest library or book store, read the book and love it! It's about racism, classism, economic crisis, job insecurity, evictions, riots, police brutality, nationalism vs socialism... does it ring a bell? Indeed, everything in this book is still current, and it's explained with a challenging mixture of a thought-provoking protest novel and a terribly amusing surrealistic satire.
