Evening Glow
I wanted this view of the Bay Bridge and downtown skyline to feel like the moment when afternoon slips quietly into evening. I washed the sky with pale blue and touches of dusty pink, then painted the city in cool gray-violet, leaving small warm marks to suggest windows and waterfront lights. The bridge was given a darker, firmer structure to guide the eye into the composition. Reflections were softened directly into the damp paper. The finished scene has that peaceful Bay Area glow that often appears just before the wind turns cold.
