Dandelion Democracy
I have always admired dandelions for blooming enthusiastically wherever they please, including nearly every neglected patch of San Francisco grass. I layered fresh greens, gray-greens, and yellow washes to create the tangled field, then added individual blooms and seed heads over the softer background. The foreground flowers received the sharpest detail, while the rest fade into a cheerful botanical crowd.
