Champagne Rose
I painted this creamy rose with restraint, using warm ivory, soft peach, and the faintest touch of pink rather than leaving the petals entirely white. I worked inward from the broad outer petals toward the tightly curled center, allowing the shadows to become warmer and richer as they gathered. Cool blue-green leaves provide just enough contrast to make the rose feel luminous.
