Blue Skyline R34 GT-R
The Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, often referred to as the R34, is a high performance vehicle produced by Nissan Motor Company, Japan's second largest automobile manufacturer. Manufactured from 1999 to 2002, the R34 GT-R is a part of the Skyline's fifth-generation lineup, a nameplate steeped in a rich heritage of technological innovation and motor racing success.
Sporting a compact yet aggressive design, the R34 GT-R strikes a balance between a high-performing track car and an everyday street vehicle. It has a distinctively sleek, aerodynamic look, underpinned by wide wheel arches and large vents, creating a vehicle that looks fast and truly is fast. The iconic circular tail lights are another signature design element of the Skyline series, and they are immediately recognisable to any car enthusiast.
Under the hood, the R34 GT-R is powered by the legendary RB26DETT engine, a 2.6-litre, inline-six, twin-turbocharged powerplant producing about 280 horsepower. However, many believe Nissan substantially underrated it due to the gentleman's agreement among Japanese automakers at the time. The engine is renowned for its high-revving capability, superb strength, and huge tuning potential.
The R34 GT-R is also known for its all-wheel-drive system and four-wheel steering. These two features give the car unparalleled handling characteristics, especially when navigating through corners at high speed.
