The Jock Dove Project was inspired by An Bhliain na Gaeilge, The Year of the Irish Language, 2018, a celebration of the Irish language both in Ireland and around the world; and by the Irish Language Learners Facebook group (www.facebook.com/IrishLanguageLearners/) and its efforts to create a 'Global Gaeltacht' for all who want to see the Irish language thrive.
