Here she has found some friends. I also have a close up of just the golden painted cow It is part of Derry's Cow Parade in Ebrington Square, Derry, Northern Ireland. There are twelve, or more of these cows in Ebrington Square and a few others scattered around Derry. Each of the cows in the parade was painted by a different artist. Each artist was paired with a group from the community and worked with them to identify a theme. The cow in this photograph was created by pupils from Lumin Christi College. They named it "Let's Mooooooove Ahead Together". On its back is an abstract depiction of the "Cityside" and "Waterside" parts of Derry joined by the new Peace Bridge. It was painted by artist Sinead Smyth. Ebrington Square was formerly the parade ground of Ebrington Army Barracks. Under the guidance of Ilex (the local Urban Regeneration Company) the parade ground has been transformed into a public open space. Gradually the buildings around it are being renovated and finding new uses. Kids seem to love engaging with the cows. This little boy was no exception - he dashed around it and grabbed it's horns. * The Cow Parade is said to be the largest participative art project in the world. Having been seen by 300m people world wide it certainly has a claim to that title! In fact there are many cow parades. The organisers provide plain white fiberglass cows - mostly in three characteristic stances - and artists and community groups in a local area come together to decorate their cow in a way that highlights a locally relevant theme. * History of this Image on RedBubble # 9 th August 2013 View Count reached 500 # 5th November 2012: view count reached 200 # 20th October 2012: view count reached 120 # 9th October 2012 Uploaded to RedBubble # 8th October 2012 Source images stitched, blended and a 240° rectangular rendered through Panini Projection as a 7x5 image # 4th Aug 2012 Source Photographs shot in Ebrington Square, Derry Photographic Details nbsp nbsp Camera: EOS 5 d Mk ii nbsp nbsp Lens: Zenitar 16mm Fisheye f/2.8 M42 manual focus on an EOS adapter. nbsp nbsp Bracketed Exposure: f/16, at 1/50, 1/200 and 1/800 at ISO 200 nbsp nbsp Post Production Processing: The 27 images were stitched and blended together by Hugin which in turn invoked Nona (To transofrm the images), Enblend (to blend the seams) and Enfuse (to achieve the HDR Effect).
