View Larger on Chockstone Photography Not far from Warrnambool in Victoria you will find Childers Cove and nearby Murnanes Bay and Sandy Cove. Only a short distance off the Great Ocean Road these inlets feature sandstone and limestone cliffs, sea stacks, nice secluded beaches, and the impressive southern ocean ahead of you. The best part is, whilst the 12 Apostles are crazy popular and swarming with tourists, this area looks just as dramatic, has almost no visitors and access from Mepung is easy. Parking is a little limited, and the place feels a bit off the beaten track, but personally I find that is a good thing. At only 100 metres long, and somewhat out of the way, Childers Cove feels cosy, particularly if you have it to yourself.
