Collage of a selection of photo's of the wolves group, made in Artis Amsterdam Zoo on Saturday Feb. 4, 2012 Amsterdam, the Netherlands The story behind the images... It was such a delightful experience to spend several hours observing and photographing the wolves in Artis Zoo on this sunny winter day... and I'm excited about the result... This actually is a combination of the assignment of the 4-day photography course I'm following in Artis (make an animal portrait in a series of photo's) - and the Day 6 challenge of the "Beyond Layers" course by Kim Klassen (make a storyboard) I used 6 of my own photo's in a Storyboard template from Gingerpixel (www.gingerpixel.com/review/storyboard-templates/ ) - Thank you! and I used my own bokeh texture as a background and as softlight-overlay / opacity 20% over the completed collage . Description "The Arctic Wolf (Canis lupus arctos), also called Polar Wolf or White Wolf, is a subspecies of the Gray Wolf, a mammal of the family Canidae. Arctic Wolves inhabit the Canadian Arctic, Alaska and the northern parts of Greenland." Source: Wikipedia The three young wolves, born May 19, 2011, are big already, but their fur isn't yet as white as the adult's. The wolves pack living in Artis are Hudson Bay-wolves, that originate from Canada.
