The Toast Rack Red
This building is affectionally know as 'The Toast Rack', the official name is The Hollings Building and was until recently part of Manchester Metropolitan University. The original architect had a sense of humour, because as well as the Toast Rack, then next door building making up the domestic science department is a circle and is known as 'The Fried Egg'. The whole site is due to be redeveloped.
I've added unrealistic sky colours to this Grade 2 listed Manchester icon to accentuate the eccentricity of the design and to remove any distraction from the smooth curving lines.
