Original WOZMON Program
Show your love for Steve Wozniak’s amazing Apple 1 “Hex Monitor” PROM program!
The ‘WOZMON’ program is the magic that allowed users to interact with the original Apple 1 computer. It was designed and programmed by Steve Wozniak in 1976 and provided an amazing number of functions for the tiny 256 bytes of ROM storage!
Reproduced here are all 256 HEX bytes for the original WOZMON PROM.
Summary:
In 1976 Steve Wonzniak wrote a 'monitor' program in assembly instructions for the original Apple1 ROM. The 'WOZMON' program read the keyboard, had a prompt, showed keys, edited memory, and started programs. All in 254 bytes. The same length as this text.
