Series 1 of the long awaited RIOT 92 collection. This collection portrays a fictional representation of the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Images serve as a realistic representation based around true events and stories. "Inferno Boulevard" captures a powerful and intense moment in time, as a man observes the raging inferno that has erupted on Crenshaw Boulevard. The man's emotions remain a mystery. Is he in awe of the grand flames? In fear as he witnesses the destruction and chaos before him? For all we know, he could have started the fire and now observes his creation. The vivid and bold brushstrokes were digitally overlayed to create the flames that add energy and movement to the artwork. In the foreground, the man's silhouette serves as a calm contrast. This painting invites the viewer to imagine the story behind the scene and the emotions of the person experiencing it.
