Welcome to my new Redbubble page!
This first one is a familiar recollection of the San Francisco hillside as though the city were slowly emerging from a veil of morning light. I began with very pale washes of warm ochre, dusty rose, and softened gray, allowing the colors to drift together before adding the rooftops and neighborhood details with a finer brush. The Golden Gate Bridge is deliberately understated in the distance, more memory than monument, as I wanted the painting to capture that quiet moment when the fog lifts, the sun reaches the houses, and the whole city briefly seems gentler than usual.
