Tower and Traffic
This one was basically an attempt at a close aerial study with the strong vertical form of the Golden Gate tower, then building the roadway and trusswork around it. Transparent layers of rust, coral, and red-brown create the steel’s depth without making it feel overly heavy. The tiny cars were painted in assorted muted colors, with a few brighter touches to break the rhythm, while keeping the water and hills were kept pale and quiet.
