"Stoic Splendor" Algorithmic Art
This artwork was generated by an algorithm based on the mathematics of Chladni patterns. The patterns were first demonstrated on metal plates covered in sand in the 18th century by Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni. Chladni showed that specific sound frequencies caused the sand to form geometric patterns, providing an early demonstration of the hidden structures of sound. This art was created by my dad John Clavin (https://www.algorithmicjazz.com).
