Spring Fling Red Roses
Red roses are considered to be the “lovers’ rose” symbolizing true lover and enduring passion. These roses were originally painted as part of a commission, but were put aside in order to start again and create a new piece for the client instead. A couple of years later, I pulled them out of what I like to call my “art purgatory” and was inspired to finish them. I painted in abstract patterns and revamped the style of the petals.
