Sashed Pinwheels
Generally speaking, Tangled Line Art designs are geometric art designs based on the geometry of quilt blocks. Broadly speaking, within quilting, if a narrow strip of fabric is added to separate blocks within a quilt top, these strips are called 'sashings'. The 'sashing' may play an integral part of the design or they may be utilised to separate blocks that would not necessarily 'fit' together. Typically, sashings may be used in a sampler quilt where a variety of quilt blocks are within the same quilt top.
This collection 'Sashings' is based on a quilt block with 'sashings' between each block. I will be using the 'sashings' within my Tangled Line Art designs to pull the blocks together and to form an integral part of the design.
