River Time
Photo taken near Cape Girardeau, Mo. I wanted to create a timeless feel to this image. Rivers have transported mankind through the centuries - for better and for worse.
It was early morning with a thick fog hanging low and heavy hiding all things over 50 feet away. I had just about given up on getting any shots other than the rocks and old post along the immediate shore line around me. As the barge went by the fog started giving up its hold and I was able to get this image using a Nikon D5000 with a 70-300mm lens. Once home I had to use both RAW adjustments and some Photoshop moves to produce "River Time."
