Is there a bird more popular in the United States than the redbird? A more well-known one? People that don’t know an oriole from a tufted titmouse know the beloved cardinal. Am I right? Cardinals, also called the redbird, are prevalent throughout the United States. The male is a bright red, the female just as beautiful but more muted-colored to better camouflage in the nest.
