Raptor Close-Up
This one was all about character. I used deeper browns, charcoal tones, and warm gold around the beak and eye, letting the feather edges stay slightly rough so the bird feels a little wild and windblown. I didn’t clutter the background because I wanted that fierce profile to fill the whole painting with presence.
