Postscript
Memory and forward movement coexist in Postscript, an abstract figurative portrait built through powerful contrasts of black, white, blue, ochre, red and fragmented light. The woman stands poised between dense darkness and an open pale field, her gaze directed beyond the frame while her figure emerges through raw layers of pigment and broken marks. The embedded words “I am learning to REMEMBER WITHOUT LIVING THERE” introduce a quiet distinction between remembering the past and continuing to inhabit it. A postscript is something written after the main story has ended. Here, it becomes a metaphor for what comes next: a life that does not erase its history, but is no longer contained by it.
