Parallel mirrors
The name of the Cubist current came from an article by the critic Louis Vauxcelles, which read: "They (refers to artists) despise shapes, reduce everything - places, figures, houses - to elementary geometric shapes, cubes" that had started on a revolutionary way of representing forms in paintings, other than the one known until then.
They no longer distinguished between the foreground and the background in perspective, they decomposed the objects into elementary parts and reconstructed them in painting. Collages, as a technique to further differentiate the surface of the painting and the relief of the objects to be represented
