Little Rabbits
The Okazaki Shrine in Kyoto, Japan, has many names, but in English is commonly known as the Bunny or Rabbit Shrine. It is a Shinto Shrine with a history over 1200 years! It was supposedly first built in 794. It enshrines a fierce warrior named Susano’o and his wife and eight children. Supposedly there were many wild rabbits who lived here long ago and that's why it was also named the Bunny Shrine. The bunnies in this picture were part of two rows, upper and lower, of over 50 bunnies! Today, it is a place where couples go to pray for fertility issues. Photographed with my Canon sx60 and enhanced with digital effects. #221
