Juneteenth - Ripped
Juneteenth marks the day -- June 19, 1865 -- when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and enforced the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing more than 250,000 people who were still enslaved more than two years after the proclamation became law. It has grown into a celebration of liberation, resilience, Black Culture, and the ongoing pursuit of equality, often called America's "second Independence Day."
